ZyO3™

High Strength Omega-3 Fish Oil Capsules

ZyO3™ pack

Introduction

Omega-3 fatty acids are important structural and functional components of human tissues. Among the long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) are particularly well studied for their roles in cell membranes and lipid mediator pathways.¹,²

DHA is highly concentrated in neural and retinal membranes, where it contributes to membrane structure and function.²,³ EPA and DHA also participate in pathways involved in inflammatory signalling and resolution.⁴

ZyO3™ provides a concentrated source of EPA and DHA in a convenient softgel format. The product contains 360 mg EPA + 240 mg DHA per softgel, as declared on the current product pack.

Product Description

  • Concentrated EPA + DHA

ZyO3™ provides 360 mg EPA and 240 mg DHA per softgel, delivering a concentrated source of long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids.

  • Cardiovascular Wellness

EPA and DHA have been extensively studied for their relationship with cardiovascular outcomes and lipid metabolism. Evidence from randomized trials suggests that Omega-3 fatty acids can influence several cardiovascular outcomes, although effects vary according to formulation, dose and population.⁵

  • Brain Function

DHA is highly enriched in neuronal membranes and contributes to the structural and functional properties of the brain.²,⁶ Human supplementation studies, however, show that cognitive benefits are not uniform across all populations; therefore, ZyO3™ should be positioned as nutritional support for normal brain function, rather than as a cognitive treatment.⁶,⁷

  • Vision Health

DHA is a major structural lipid of retinal photoreceptor membranes and plays an important role in retinal structure and function.³

  • Joint Support

EPA and DHA influence inflammatory pathways and have been studied in people with inflammatory joint conditions. Meta-analyses of randomized trials have reported improvements in selected joint-related outcomes, although results should not be interpreted as treatment of arthritis.⁴,⁸

  • Healthy Ageing

DHA is particularly concentrated in the brain and retina, and Omega-3 status has been investigated in relation to brain health and age-related cognitive changes.²,⁶,⁹ The evidence does not support positioning Omega-3 supplementation as a treatment for age-related cognitive disease; the appropriate positioning is nutritional support as part of healthy ageing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ZyO3™?

ZyO3™ is a high-strength Omega-3 fish oil nutraceutical providing 1000 mg fish oil per softgel, including 360 mg EPA and 240 mg DHA.

What are EPA and DHA?

EPA and DHA are long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids. They are incorporated into cell membranes and participate in biological pathways involved in cardiovascular, neural, retinal and inflammatory processes.¹–⁴

Why are EPA and DHA important?

EPA and DHA have different but complementary biological roles. DHA is particularly concentrated in neural and retinal tissues, while EPA is involved in membrane composition and lipid mediator pathways.²–⁴

Does ZyO3™ support heart health?

EPA and DHA have been extensively investigated for cardiovascular effects. Clinical evidence indicates that Omega-3 supplementation can affect cardiovascular outcomes, although benefits vary by dose, formulation and patient population.⁵

Does ZyO3™ support brain function?

DHA is an important structural component of neuronal membranes. However, supplementation does not necessarily improve cognition in every healthy individual. ZyO3™ should therefore be positioned as nutritional support for normal brain function, not as a treatment for cognitive disorders.²,⁶,⁷

Does Omega-3 support eye health?

Yes. DHA is highly concentrated in retinal photoreceptor membranes and contributes to retinal structure and function.³

Can Omega-3 support joints?

EPA and DHA influence inflammatory pathways and have been studied for joint-related outcomes, particularly in inflammatory joint conditions. Evidence suggests potential benefit for selected outcomes, but Omega-3 should not be presented as a treatment for arthritis.⁴,⁸

Who can take ZyO3™?

ZyO3™ is a nutraceutical intended for adults as part of a balanced diet. Pregnant or lactating women and people with medical conditions should consult a Doctor or Dietician before use.

Does ZyO3™ contain fish?

Yes. ZyO3™ contains fish oil and the product carries the declaration “Contains Fish.”
